This comforting, seasonal drink now comes as a rich blend - the perfect ingredient for a cosy home this cold season. Our Mulled Cider Essential Oil Blend combines tangy fruits with sweet star anise and spicy cinnamon to capture a festive classic.
This blend contains a number of uplifting fruity notes. Bergamot, grapefruit, and bitter orange are all known for their mood-boosting, stress-relieving properties.
Whilst the fruity scents take care of the mind, star anise and cinnamon bark look after the body by guarding against harmful bacteria.
Bergamot Essential Oil
Bergamot essential oil has been studied extensively for its ability to relieve stress and anxiety. An uplifting oil, it also increases positive feelings, delivering a little brightness.
Cinnamon (Bark) Essential Oil
Cinnamon bark is a wonderful natural mood booster, reducing stress and promoting positivity. Cinnamon is also known to increase blood flow to the brain, providing an energising effect and encouraging inspiration.
Grapefruit (White) Essential Oil
Grapefruit essential oil is strongly associated with mood-balancing effects and is said to promote stress-relief and reinvigoration.
Orange (Bitter) Essential Oil
Associated with prosperity, oranges have been used medicinally for hundreds of years. Able to lift spirits and relieve anxiety, orange oil is considered a brightening, bettering oil that contributes to overall wellness. Like other citrus oils, orange oil is an excellent cleaning agent and is often used in homemade cleaning sprays.
Star Anise Essential Oil
Star anise oil's store of shikimic acid is considered crucial in the fight against the flu virus, and it has also been known to combat bacterial and fungal infections.
Star anise is also considered a relaxing oil that can be diffused to relieve stress.
- Aromatherapy: Combine 5-7 drops of the oil with water and add to an oil burner. Alternatively, place 5-7 drops in a diffuser.
- Massage: Dilute 5 drops to 10ml of carrier oil and massage into skin.
- Bath: Add 6-8 drops to warm bathwater.
- Skincare: Add a couple of drops to a carrier oil or your chosen lotion.
- Soap: Suitable for soapmaking. We recommend following a tested recipe.
- Candles: Suitable for candles. We recommend following a tested recipe.
- Potpourri: Add a few drops to potpourri creations to enhance scent.
